Hogan Plumbing was established in 1961 by Don Hogan a widowed father of four, working out of a relative’s garage in Wheaton, IL. Don did it all while also managing to raise his four children until he received some help in 1972. That was the year Denny Hogan, Don's oldest son and current owner, began his apprenticeship at Hogan, although unofficially he began several years earlier accompanying his father to job sites as a young boy.
The 1970’s were marked by steady growth in the business, as father and son put in long hours on the job together, establishing a reputation for quality and dependability which are still the core values of Hogan Plumbing to this day.
The 1980’s and 90's were decades of explosive growth in new residential building in DuPage County and Hogan Plumbing’s hard earned reputation placed the company in a position to expand to keep pace with this boom. The company relocated to larger offices in Warrenville in 1987 to accommodate this expansion in business and then moved again to its current facility in 1997.
The 1980’s also marked the official passing of the Hogan torch from father to son. Denny took over as president of the family business in 1984 upon the retirement of his father, and in 1986 he completed the transition, purchasing the company outright.
From 2000-2010 the company began to broaden its footprint and expand its commercial plumbing operations. This included the additions of Denny’s son Ryan Hogan and Chuck Arwood to expand the business. Commercial plumbing now represents the majority of Hogan Plumbing's business today.
Hogan Plumbing today has very little “physical” resemblance to the Hogan Plumbing of 1961. The 60 years of sustained growth has brought many changes to the company, changes that we are very proud of. However, the driving spirit of getting the job done right, taking pride in your work, and delivering on commitment... that spirit lives on. We look forward to the future with great anticipation and continuing to meet and exceed our customer's needs.
